LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Arkansas Foobank) - Go! Running of Little Rock is back hosting its annual Go!bbler Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, benefitting the Arkansas Foodbank. The Turkey Trot has grown into the undisputed way to begin Thanksgiving Day for thousands of runners across the nation.

The run will begin at 8:00 am on November 28th at the Go! Running store located in The Heights on 1819 N Grant St.  There will be group run options of 3 miles, 4 miles, and 6.5 miles that cover many aspects of running such as road, track, trails, and other “surprises” that are essentially a tour of Hillcrest and The Heights.  It’s a group run with no entry fee, no chips, and no timing, but a whole lot of fun. The run begins next to Go! Running and finishes back at the store.

In a signing ceremony November 14th at Robinson High School in West Little Rock, 5’11” Damonique Miller signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Memphis next year.

In front of family, fellow players, classmates, coaches and administration, Miller, who has a 3.5 grade point average, put pen to paper with a big smile, saying she is thrilled to be joining the NCAA Division 1 school next year. She thanked her mom and dad, who were by her side, and her coaches.

Miller scored an average of 17 points a game with six rebounds last year and was a First Team All-Conference Selection, Hardin said.

Robinson High School women’s basketball coach Anwar Hardin said this is the third year in a row he has had an athlete sign to play college basketball. “It feels great to have a student attain their goals. I’m equally as proud of the kids going on to college to be scholars,” he said.
