Arkansas Realtors gathers list of vacant rental properties for storm victims

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansas Realtors has gathered a list of vacant rental properties for storm victims.

The list has homes from all over the central Arkansas area. This list is intended serve as a resource for the displaced storm victims to search for a new home while they rebuild their lives. This website will be constantly updated as more lists of rental properties available are received.

Arkansas Realtors is also asking any Arkansans that own vacant rental properties in the affected and surrounding areas to send their property information to rentalinfo@arkansasrealtors.com so they can continue to post available properties for storm victims.

$20.9M returned to Arkansas counties

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Commissioner of State Lands John Thurston is pleased to announce the turnback totals for 2012 were just under $21 million dollars.  These funds stem from the redemption and sale of tax delinquent properties certified to the Commissioner of State Lands office.  Thurston said, “Once properties are redeemed by the original owner or sold at public auction, the funds collected are returned to the county, where the property is located, one year after the collection date.”

Local Artists Fill Holiday Art Market at Starving Artist Cafe

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Annual Starving Artist Cafe Holiday Market continues this Saturday,  December 15 and again December 22.

Artists will be set up inside the restaurant to sell their original artwork (paintings, jewelry, crafts, photography, pottery, etc.) for our customers to shop as they enjoy a fantastic lunch. No fee, no commission, and the artist will get lunch on us. Market hours are Noon-2pm. Limited to six artists a day. You can do one day, several days, or all. Then join in for Holiday breakfast at Wildwood on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Following breakfast the Holiday Tour begins! Starting at 10:00 a.m. is when the first tour will leave to take a trip to see Little Rock's finest homes.

Tax Delinquent Land Sale Scheduled for Pulaski County

LITTLE ROCK, Ark – A public auction for the sale of tax delinquent land in Pulaski County will be held at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., according to John Thurston, Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands.  Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Commissioner of State Lands Office provides a Catalog of Tax Delinquent Lands, which contains the rules and regulations governing the sales.  The catalog also includes dates, times, location, and pertinent information regarding the parcels being offered.  It is available by calling 501-324-9422 or may be viewed on the Commissioner’s web site at www.cosl.org.
