Autumn needs a forever home

Autumn needs a forever home

Autumn, a 9 month-old Jack Russell/Beagle mix would love a home of her own before the new year. As you can see, she's a happy, playful girl and she loves people and other dogs. She had a great time in the dog park yesterday. She's VERY active and would do best in a home without valuable heirlooms! She has the typical Jack Russell energy which includes jumping in the air and using your legs as a spring board. Come by the shelter and meet this sweet girl!

We open every day from 11-5, and you can find us at 14600 Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock

Tiffany Ellen said she is missing her shepherd mix, which was last seen on Jan. 4. Ellen said her pet weighs around 60 lbs. and is mostly black with a brown face and “eyeliner” around her eyes. In addition, she was fur that looks like a Mohawk on the back of her neck; she also has a chain collar and tags.

Ellen added that the dog is very friendly, but a little timid toward strangers.

No name was given.

Local dog trainers to host free "Yappy Hour" for problem dog behavior, Q&A

SHERWOOD, Ark (YH) - Although we love our four-legged family members, sometimes their behavior can be a menace. From digging up the backyard to nonstop barking to jumping and soiling our favorite clothes, unwanted dog behavior is all-too-common.

Unfortunately, there aren't many resources for the average dog owner to use to stop this behavior. So See Spot Sit Dog Training of Central Arkansas is hosting a free "Yappy Hour" to discuss solutions to the many common dog behavior problems like barking, digging, jumping, escaping and other bad behavior.

The seminar will also include a question and answer session for specific questions you may have about your dog's behavior.

Yappy Hour will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Sherwood Forest at 1111 W Maryland Ave., Sherwood, AR 72120. Attendees do NOT have to be Sherwood residents to attend.

Free refreshments will also be provided.
