LRSD offering flu vaccine to students

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Another fall brings another flu season, and one central Arkansas district is doing its part to keep its students healthy.

On Monday, the Little Rock School District is providing the flu vaccine to the students at Booker Arts Magnet.

Superintendent Dr. Dexter Suggs is encouraging all of his 25,000 students and 4,000 educators to attend one of the clinics to get the vaccine.

"It's critical. Especially when you're interacting with kids on a regular basis. It's critical that you have this particular shot," said Suggs.

The free flu shots will continue at various campuses through Monday, November 17.
