What's next legally for suspect in murder of realtor?

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Earlier Tuesday morning, Arron Lewis freely spoke to media members as deputies led him to jail and later on to court. Now the question is, can anything he said be used in court?

Arron Lewis nods Tuesday morning acknowledging he would be willing to plead guilty. At this point, we are told he cannot.

"There may come a time when perhaps they will be some sort of plea bargaining where he may decide to plead guilty to capital murder in exchange for them not seeking the death penalty," said UALR Law Professor Felecia Epps.

Epps says if prosecutors seek the death penalty, there cannot be a guilty plea now.

"There actually has to be a trial," said Epps. "There actually has to be a sentencing hearing where the jurors decide if the death penalty is the appropriate sentencing."
