LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Little Rock Fashion Week is hosting its annual Model Search. Come ready, dressed and impress this year’s LRFW judges.

Judges include:

  • Marlisa Goldsmith, KTHV 11 morning anchor
  • Chevette Durham, owner of Bouncing Kidz Boutique
  • Karia Daniel, licensed cosmetology instructor and loctician
  • L.A. Rose, owner of Hollywood Beauty & Style and Deco Rose Couture Custom Fashions
  • Omar Rosas, Salon Karizma hairstylist
  • Rance Golden Jr., creator of Total Rance Live and audio engineer of KARK NBC 4 and KLRT FOX 16

“I’m always excited about the annual model search to discover new talent and see familiar faces” says Brandon D. Campbell, creator and executive producer of LRFW. “LRFW is the best platform for those models who dream of being the next Naomi Campbell, or the next Tyson Beckford to be discovered or to take their modeling careers to the next plateau.”

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Let your spring kite fly at the 2015 Kite Festival Sunday. 

On April 26, near the Radha Madhave Temple at 9301 Frazier Pike, crowds will gather to release their kites for all to see. 

The event will start at 11 a.m. and will last until 6 p.m. They will be selling kites and firkis at the event, in case you don't have one. There will also be snacks available at a first come first serve basis. 

Drinking and smoking is prohibited at the festival.

LRFW accepting designers and volunteers for events

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (LRFW) - Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW) is accepting fashion designer’s applications for the seventh annual LRFW, which is scheduled for July 13 through 18. The application deadline is April 7, 2015.

Founded by entertainment producer Brandon Campbell in 2009, LRFW has showcased over 95 fashion brands by local, national, international and student designers; been attended by fashion and entertainment executives from E! Entertainment, Style Network, MTV, NBC, Dillard's, Belk, Otis College of Art & Design (Los Angeles), Harding University, Savannah College of Art & Design and Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Past designers have gone on to have their clothing lines worn by celebrities and showcased at presentations during New York Fashion Week.

Re-Fashion Bash to feature students' recyclable designs

BENTON, Ark. - Saline County students will be showcasing their recycled material fashion designs. 

On Saturday, April 11 at 5 p.m., be a part of Re-Fashion Bash “Where Green is the New Black.” It will be held at the Benton Event Center. This event will highlight Saline County students of all ages walking the runway turning trash to treasure. Come out and support your students on this memorable red carpet night.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District Office located at 114 W. Sevier Street in downtown Benton. Top recycled designs will receive prize money, with first place receiving $500, second place $250, and third place $100.
