Thea Arts Festival - April 27
Thea Arts Festival - April 27

Artists from across Arkansas will display and sell their works from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, April 27, along Main Street in the Argenta Arts District of downtown North Little Rock at the second annual Thea Arts Festival. While the Festival itself is open and free to the public, money raised through sponsorship of the festival will help support the arts in schools across Arkansas.

Thirty-nine fine Arkansas artists, including featured artist Matt McLeod, representing a plethora of mediums, will occupy booths along Argenta‚Äôs Main Street.  In addition, throughout the day talented local musicians will provide live music, and artists will demonstrate their techniques.  Hands-on art activities, including relief printmaking, caricatures, and a collaborative paint-by-number project, will be offered to children and adults alike.

Main Street will be blocked to vehicular traffic from Broadway to Sixth Street, but the trolley will continue to operate. Local businesses will be open, and many will have street-side displays and offer specials.

Thea is proud to announce that Matt McLeod (www.mattmcleod.com) is the featured artist for its 2nd annual Thea Arts Festival.  We are excited to have this vastly esteemed artist on board and to share his featured artwork with the public.  His one-of-a-kind painting, created specifically for the arts festival, is for sale, and the artist has generously offered a portion of the proceeds of its sale to the Thea Foundation.  If interested in viewing this painting in-person, contact Thea Executive Director Paul Leopoulos at 501-379-9512.
