Thea is proud to announce that Matt McLeod will be the featured artist for its 2nd annual Thea Arts Festival (TAF) to be held along Argenta's Main Street on Saturday, April 27, 10am to 6pm.  We are so excited to have this vastly esteemed artist on board and can't wait to share our the rest of our TAF lineup with the public as it develops in the coming weeks.

McLeod has created a one-of-a-kind painting specifically for the arts festival, which Thea plans to release in pieces via social media beginning March 4 up to the reveal of the physical artwork during the Argenta ArtWalk on Friday, March 15, 5 - 8pm.  Each day, we will release a "piece" of McLeod's painting on our TAF Facebook (search “Thea Arts Festival”) and Twitter (@TheaArtsFest) accounts.

This featured artwork is for sale, and the artist has generously offered a portion of the proceeds to the Thea Foundation and its programs that benefit the youth of Arkansas.  If interested in a private viewing before March 15, contact Thea Executive Director Paul Leopoulos at 501-379-9512.

McLeod, a self-defined "Abstract Impressionist," is a highly sought-after artist based in Little Rock, whose work resides in several private and corporate collections across the United States.  His style is, in the artist's words, "innovative, contemporary" and "combines smart compositions, representational forms and vivid abstract color."  For more information on this artist, visit www.mattmcleod.com.

Thea Arts Festival
The inaugural Thea Arts Festival, held on April 28, 2012, attracted several thousand visitors to North Little Rock, a number we expect to exponentially grow in 2013, by providing three city blocks of the finest art, food and music our state has to offer all free of charge to festival-goers. This arts festival is Thea’s unique stamp on the local arts community, as it brings together the arts, education and a diverse public like no other.

Our 2nd annual festival is planned for Saturday, April 27, 2013. Same place, same time - Argenta Arts District, 10am to 6pm.  For more information, visit www.theafoundation.org or call 501-379-9512.
